Shopping
The County town of Ayr, in the heart of the Burns Country is a modern, busy shopping centre, and Ayrshire’s formost shopping venue. The shopper will find all the usual names in the famous High Street but it is worth seeking out the privately owned establishments.
And shopping at Ayr Central, in Kyle Street is a superb experience. When we say Ayr Central is about extreme shopping, we mean it. Our all star line up includes Debenhams, Next, H&M, Primark and HMV – many of whom are opening in Ayr for the first time. And many more big names – all in the one big place. We've also got some new names like Cherry Soda, plus Costa Coffee for when you need to re-fuel. Ayr Central is open Mon – Sat 9 a.m. -6 p.m., Sundays 11 a.m. -5 p.m. – and open late on Thursdays until 8 p.m.
Heathfield Retail Park, the out-of-city retail park, and very close to the hotel, opened in 1993 with shops such as Halfords, Comet, PC World and Homebase.
Famous names such as Hourstons, BHS, Boots and Marks and Spencer grace the superb High Street, featuring the Kyle Centre and a host of other small interesting shops. Nearby Prestwick has a delightful selection of smaller shops too, superb for high quality gifts and unusual items.
